What to expect

Dance Specific Exercises

Students will practice dance specific Pilates exercises and learn dance anatomy to further understand their movements and improve their technique. Many of these dance specific exercises are done standing or on a mat with a few props. If you choose to work in our home studio we will also include work on the Pilates Reformer.

Technique

Dance specific Pilates exercises will work to improve technique, muscular strength and flexibility, and act as a method of injury prevention.

Work to strengthen the ankles, feet, hips, and core to help you prepare for pointe work.

Determine your individual range of motion, strengthen and stretch the correct muscles to improve turnout, and discover how to use your turnout safely.
